Origin: Originally a native of South Africa, the calabash, as a cultivated plant, can also be found in Central and South America.

Propagation: Seeds can be started indoors quickly and quite easily throughout the year. Leave the seeds to soak in water at room temperature overnight and press them about 1 cm deep into moist cultivation soil. Germination will follow after 5 to 20 days.

Place / Light: The calabash will already need a big pot and a climbing support after 14 days. Habitat should be very bright and warm.
